ABOUT HISTORY | WASSILY Chair
WASSILY Chair，又名 B3 椅，由包浩斯設計師 Marcel Breuer 於 1925 年設計，靈感來自自行車把手，首創以彎曲鋼管構築椅身，搭配懸浮式皮革座面，呈現輕盈、現代、工業感的造型。
雖然這張椅子的原名是 B3 Chair，但後來被命名為 Wassily Chair，是因為 Breuer 的同事兼朋友、畫家 Wassily Kandinsky 非常喜愛這張椅子，Breuer 為他製作了一張特製版本。
後來在 1960 年代重新量產時，才正式以 Kandinsky 命名為 Wassily Chair。
它象徵現代主義與包浩斯風格的經典，名稱來自畫家 Kandinsky 對此椅的喜愛，至今仍是設計史上最具代表性的經典之作。
